Time for Curling

Here’s an odd fact for you: I’m fascinated by curling. And yes, I think it’s high time that curling came to balmy South Texas. I mean, what could be better than teams of four going head-to-head in a competition that involves strategic sliding of forty-pound polished stones, quarried in Scotland, down a long sheet of ice?

Curling is a popular amateur sport in the frozen tundra of Northern Minnesota where I was born. I recall that my grandmother was in a curling league for some time.

The Ice Center at Northwoods has curling clubs. There's a number listed at the URL below to call if you're interested in participating with or starting a curling club. I think we should try it!

Unbelievably cool! Time to sign up and get myself schooled, no doubt.

Since you have this inclination towards frozen tundra sports, perhaps you'd also have uncanny ability. Do it!

Do you need any team members? :)
